December 2001 calendar of events.

December 1st and 2nd is an Alderac weekend!  Join in your favorite game!

Dec 1st.  Legend of the Five Rings tournament.  This is the tournament for you if you have been waiting for the release of the Oni Fury!  The Game Matrix has the Oni Fury before the release date.  The Dragon, the Unicorn, and the Shadowlands will be featured in the event as well as 150 brand new cards.  This is a pre-release, sealed deck tournament!  It all starts at 6:00pm.

Dec 2nd.  WarLord Collectable Card Game tournament!!!  This is yet another killer Alderac game.  THE new release of "Good and Evil".  Want to win the the "Sword of Darkness" that has been on display in the store?  Now is your chance.  Want to know how big this tournament is?  The author of the new game from Allderac will be on hand to give away the grand prize and answer questions.  Don't be late for the 12:00pm start time.  DO NOT MISS THIS!

Dec 7th.  Frye Night!  Come join our very own Chris Frye as he sponsors a night of 40k action here at The Game Matrix.

Dec 8th.  Battleground WWII, Battle of Bertha's Bulge.  This is a mega battle, featuring the Americans vs the Germans. if you have ever wanted to reenact your favorite World War II battle, this is a good place to start and learn how.  Everyone is invited to join in or just watch and learn.

Dec 8th.  Warhammer Fantasy Mini-tournament.  The fun starts at 11:00am.  This tournament will consist of your army trying to destroy everyone else's army.  Ooops.  I almost forgot... The cost for this event will be $3.00 and the army limit is set at 1250 points.  The winner of this event will receive a blister of their choice.  Happy gaming.

Dec 9th.  LORD of the RINGS demo game.  This is it folks!  If you've read the books, and can't wait for the movie (Dec 19th if you did not know)... Play the game!  This game is being set up to introduce you to the world of JRR Tolkien as you have never seen it.  Experienced players will be on hand to help you fight your way through Middle Earth.  Want to buy the game and play your own games at home?  We have it!  With more characters being released every month by Games-Workshop and Citadel.  These models have been crafted after the actors that play the characters in the movie... So take them home and paint them as you think they should look, or go traditional... display them, and more importantly, play them.

Dec 14th.  Frye Night!  This is the second of two 40k gaming nights sponsored by THE Chris Frye in the month of December.

Dec 15th.  Legend of the Five Rings.  This is a tournament!  It starts at 6:00pm and uses standard rules of play.  Don't worry... if you miss this one, you can join the next one.  This is a bi-weekly tournament, so you will always be able to play your deck.

Dec 16th.  LORD of the RINGS demo game.  What's that?  You missed the first one?  You weren't sold on how great this game is the first time around?  Needed to save your pennies so you could come and learn with your own army?  Here it is again!  More fun and adventure in the realm of Middle Earth.  Can you handle it?

Dec 21st.  Frye Night!  This is the Warhammer Fantasy game as only Frye can bring it!  Think you can take Frye's army?  Go ahead and try.

Dec 22nd.  Tigers of the mist.  Germans vs Americans armor battle!  Take command of a tank and participate in this exciting fight!  The clash begins at 12:00pm

Dec 23rd.  Warhammer Fantasy MEGA-Battle.  This is part 2 of the Undead vs Empire war that started last month.  Got dead?  Bring um!  Got Empire?  Come, destroy the evil if you can...

Dec 28th.  Frye Night!  Got your clock cleaned last week?  Dare you try again?  Chris says Bring it on!  Warhammer Fantasy.

Dec 29th.  Warhammer 40,000 Mini tournament.  The cleansing begins at 11:00am and is set at 1000 points per army.  Things should move fast and furious for this one, so don't miss out.

Dec 30th.  Battle Tech.  Join our Lance and fight your way through the futuristic country side in this classic table top game of mechanized dominance.
